Clip assembly and casting cut for American company

The Solinda team manufactured, and fully automated this complex assembly line in a record time of 14 weeks from conception to commissioning.
The line design consists of 10 stations, where five of them are destined for the assembly of clips for Air Dam while the other five stations handle the casting cutting for the facia. Both lines include level 2 poka-yokes and incorporate a safety system for the operator, such as a two-hand button and Keyence brand safety curtains.
The clip assembly stations are constructed of 2” PTR structures, 36 steel base plates, Nylamid and aluminum nests, pneumatic clamping systems, and pneumatic insertion cylinders SMC brand, with a magazine system for staple accumulation.
On the other hand, the casting cutting stations for facias are built of 2” PTR structures, 36 steel base plates, Nylamid and aluminum nests, SMC brand pneumatic clamping systems, knife cutting commercial, pneumatic cylinder drive SMC brand.
Both types of stations incorporate a traceability system through QR code printing with the latest generation Keyence RS 2000 scanner, a feature that allows confirming the process of the part.
In addition, the system includes a PLC and an 8” Allen-Bradley HMI Compact Logix model, pneumatic clamps system SMC brand, and presence sensors from the Balluf brand.
